DUNBAR, FRANCINE B. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer on June 30, 2009. Francine Bernice Dunbar of Saint John, wife of the late Lloyd Dunbar. Born in the Cambridge Narrows, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Jennie (Currie) Holder. Francine was employed with MacAvity's, Zellers and Sears. She was a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church, past member of St. Luke's married couples club and a member of the Saturday night card club at Hillcrest Village. She is survived by her children, Bev Dunbar (Edgar Durepos), of Blackville, NB, Janice White (Gordon), of Saint John, Brian Dunbar, of Vancouver, Scott Dunbar (Cathy Gallant), of Rothesay and Kevin Dunbar (Roseanne), of Saint John; 3 grandchildren, Lindsay (Blake) Hill, Ashley (Patrick) Friars, Lacey White; one great grandchild, Corine Hill. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West, (634-1701) visitation will take place on Thursday, July 02, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, July 03, 2009 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 04, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from Lancaster Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the Lancaster Baptist Church Hall. Interment in the Jemseg Community Cemetery on Sunday, July 05, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children's Wish Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society and the Atlantic Burn Camp would be appreciated by the family.
