JOSEPH JAMES (JEFFERSON) DUNHAM
DUNHAM, JOSEPH JAMES (JEFFERSON) - With his loving family by his side, on Tuesday, July 07, 2009, Joe parted from this life to start a new adventure. He was the son of the late William Walter and Florence M. (Jefferson) Dunham. Loving husband of the late F. Eleanor (Quinn) (May 2000). He was a member of the ILA and worked as a Stevedore. After retirement he and his wife became self-employed. He was self-motivated and enjoyed life to its fullest. Family was always his first priority and he knew the importance of a circle of good friends. Being a social butterfly he loved to travel and visit people. Being inquisitive by nature and knowing the value of a dollar led him to become a jack of all trades. His political beliefs led him to become involved in the Concerned Citizen's Group. He is survived by his two daughters, Jo-Anne and Susan Dunham; brother Gordon (Doreen) Dunham. He was actively involved with his grandchildren, Jeff (Tera), Samantha and Nick and great grandchildren, Chyanne, Lee-Anne, Jakob and Bryden. Also surviving is his good friend, Frauke Humphrey; son-in-law, Dan Gautreau (Doris) and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his daughter, Pamela Dunham-Gautreau (October 1994). A reception to honor and celebrate Joe's life will take place on Sunday, July 12, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West, (634-1701). In lieu of flowers, donations, in memory of Joe, may be made to the Animal Rescue League or a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made at www.castlefh.com
