BURNS, PAULA MARIE - With her family by her side, Paula Burns passed away peacefully on July 14, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on April 30, 1963 at Saint John to John and Jean (Stafford) Burns. Paula was a graduate from Millidgeville North High School, a member of St. Pius X church and a volunteer of the C.W.L. of St. Pius X, who presented her a certificate of merit. She enjoyed bingo, computer, casino and her many friends. Paula will be remembered for her great sense of humour. Besides her parents, Paula is survived by her maternal grandmother Mary Stafford; great uncle Tim O'Leary; special friends Lorie and Lorne and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Frank Stafford and paternal grandparents, Frank and Mae Burns. Paula was a special gift from God and will be dearly missed by her family. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, 316 Somerset Street on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 11 am. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
