MARTIN, MIKE (MICHEL) - CAP-PELÉ, N.B - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mike on July 19, 2009 at the Edmundston Regional Hospital. He fought his illness with enormous courage and determination. Mike was born on July 15, 1970 in Edmundston. He leaves to mourn his parents Thérèse (Mazerolle) and Guy Martin of Edmundston; sister Josée (Montreal); brothers, Paul (Edmundston), Denis (Toronto) and Charles (Calgary); one niece, Emilie and three nephews: Wheslay, Alexis and William. Also mourning his loss is his closest friend and companion, Cecile Landry Duguay and her son, Christian with whom he resided. Mike loved sports, all sports, but especially hockey. He was a great fan of the Montreal Canadians. He made an impression on everyone he met with his great sense of humour and patience. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and always ready to give a helping hand. He was a great friend to all. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 23 at 4 pm in Lady of Seven Sorrows, in Edmundston. Visiting hours will be from 7 to 9 Wednesday evening and from 1:30 to 4 Thursday. Mike will be resting at J.B. Côté & Fils Ltée Funeral Home, 21, 37th Avenue, Edmundston, NB. Donations to the Edmundston Regional Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
