MCINTYRE, HANSON BYARD - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hanson McIntyre, Upper Gagetown, announces his passing at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at the age of 88. Born in Coytown, NB, he leaves to mourn his sisters, Drusilla McIntyre, Marion Corbett, Venetta McIntyre and Elaine McIntyre; brother, Edwin (Betty) McIntyre; brother-in-law, Leslie Strong; and many nieces and nephews. Hanson was predeceased by his parents, Byard and Laura (Shears) McIntyre; brother, Bedford McIntyre and sisters, Beatrice McIntyre, Frances Strong and Pauline Miner. Hanson was a World War II Veteran and worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. He enjoyed horses, country fairs and hockey games. There will be no visitation at his request. A graveside service will be held at the Upper Gagetown Cemetery on Saturday, July 25th, 2009 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hanson's memory can be made to the charity of one's choice.
