ARCHIE CHARLES MOORE
MOORE, ARCHIE CHARLES - Peacefully at the Ridgewood Veteran's Hospital after a long and determined struggle, on July 24, 2009 Archie C. Moore, of Welsford. Husband of A. Elizabeth (Sargeson) Moore. Born in Hoyt, NB, he was the son of the late Walter and May (Elgar) Moore. Archie was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Canadian Army overseas from 1939-1945. Serving in England, Normandy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Before his retirement he was employed with Ocean Steel as a Welder. Surviving in addition to his wife Elizabeth of 60 years, are one son, Gary Moore (Liette), of Fredericton; two daughters, Elizabeth Starkey, of Nerepis and Dawn Miner (Harold), of Titusville; one brother, Kenneth Moore (Betty), of Hoyt; one sister, Thelma Keddy, of Grand Bay. He was Pappa to Adam Moore, Alyson Moore, Meghan Starkey, Briana Starkey, Courtney Ganong. Also survived by Anne Moore and David Ganong as well as very special friends from Ridgewood, Ingrid Chase and Denise Logan. He was predeceased by two brothers, Harold and Donald; two sisters, Elsie Wilcox and Evelyn McCutcheon and son-in-law, Brian Starkey. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701) visitation will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, July 26, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from Castle Funeral Home. A reception will follow at the Fallsview Family Reception Center and a private graveside service will take place following the reception at the Welsford Community Cemetery. Donations to the Welsford Community Cemetery Company Ltd., Welsford NB, E5K 4C2 or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
