EMERY, ADDISON WALDO - Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on July 25, 2009, Mr. Addison Waldo Emery, loving husband to Mrs. Lyda L. (Corscadden) Emery of St. George NB. Born at Wawieg NB on October 11, 1915, he was a son of the late Howard and Mildred (Bartlett) Emery. A loving husband, brother and friend, in addition to his wife Lyda, he is survived by a special chosen son, MLA Rick (Debbie) Doucet of St. George; one sister, Carol Anderson of St. Stephen NB; one half Brother, Austin Emery of Saint John NB; a brother in law, Ray (Shirley) Corscadden of Maces Bay NB; a sister in law, Mona McCormick of Saint John NB and several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Addison was predeceased by two sons, David and Danny and by two brothers, Leonard and Robert. Prior to his retirement Addison worked for many years with Trynor Construction and retired with the New Brunswick Department of Transportation as a grader operator. Addison was a giving and caring man who was very active in his community as he was an active member of the Masonic Lodge # 12 F&AM, St. George NB, OES Granite Chapter #15 as well as a Shriner. He also was a member of the Luxor Shriner Flag Unit of Charlotte County and a life member of the St. George Curling Club. His family and many friends will miss his friendly smile and knowing his kind and gentle heart. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB from where the service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Tuesday at 2 pm with Rev. Lorne MacLeod officiating followed by interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home on Sunday from 7-9 pm and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Masonic and OES Tribute Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 7 pm. In Addison's memory, family floral tributes only and donations to the Presbyterian Kirk St. George Building Fund, The Shriner's Hospital for Sick Children or to the Charlotte County Transportation Fund would be appreciated by the family.
