TOTTEN, LLOYD M. - It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Lloyd M. Totten, husband of Connie (nee Parlee) Totten of Fredericton, NB which occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Saturday July 25, 2009 following complications from a sudden illness. Born on Dec 15, 1919 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Thomas E. and Gladys I. (nee Stinson) Totten. Lloyd retired from NB Power in 1985 as Chief Financial Officer following 38 years of service. He was a longtime and active member of: Christ Church (Parish) Church, the Fredericton Golden Club, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4, Kiwanis Club, Capital Winter Club, Fredericton Golf & Country Club and a 50 Year Volunteer and Board Member for the CNIB. Lloyd is survived by his wife Connie; one son, Tom and his wife Judy; one granddaughter Kim (nee Totten) Stephen (Drew); two grandsons, Geoffrey Totten (Kara) and Bradley Totten (Tina) and great grandchildren Cameron and Ella Totten all of Burlington/Oakville, ON. He was predeceased by his daughter Debbie Totten. There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service will take place at Christ Church (Parish) Church on Wednesday July 29 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 will hold a tribute service during the funeral. A reception will take place immediately following the funeral service in the church hall. A private interment will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the CNIB, Canadian Cancer Society, The Extra Mural Program, The Dr. Everett Chalmers Palliative Care Unit or to the charity of the donors choice.
