JACKSON, MARIETTA - Mrs. Marietta Jackson of Kiwanis Nursing Home formerly of Clover Court, Sussex passed away at her residence on July 30, 2009 at the age of 79. Born at home in Bains Corner on August 11, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Estella (Martin) Hunter and was the wife of the late G. Waldo Jackson who passed away in 1984. Marietta is survived by her son: Bruce and his wife Anne, her daughter: Rube Cooling and her husband David all of Sussex, three sisters: Jennie Hunter of Bains Corner, Lillian Somerville of St. John's NFLD, Maysie Hunter of Montreal, her brother: Wayne Hunter and her special sister-in-law Shirley Hunter all of Bains Corner. Marietta was a grandmother to Jeremy Jackson (Sheri) of Sackville, Ryan Jackson of Hampton, Heather Jackson of Toronto, Chet Cooling of Moncton, Jay Cooling (Janice) of Calgary, Great grandmother to Elias Jackson son of Jeremy and Sheri and Kennedy Cooling son of Jay and Janice, also loved by Maggie the family dog, Bluepurrz and Merripawpins the family cats. Marietta is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda Carol Jackson in 1980; four brothers: Howard, Harold, Trueman and Arthur; and two sisters: Rose and Dorothy. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). In honour of Marietta's request, no visitation or funeral service will be held. A private Graveside Service will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery.
