WHALEN, JOHN F.G. (1919 - 2009) - Mr. John F.G. Whalen, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully, on Monday, August 3rd, 2009, at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 90. John is survived by his wife Bettina (Betty) (Trevors); daughter Nancy Joan Horne (David) and granddaughter Victoria Joan Horne of Halifax; special nephew and niece, Frederick Leslie Matchett (Joan) of Saskatoon and Sandra Faye Matchett of Miramichi. John was the son of the late T. Herbert and Eva Alberta (Hunter) Whalen. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. The family received relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 5th, 2009. A private family graveside service was held at St Mary's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
