DEUVILLE, DOUGLAS FREDERICK - The death of Douglas Frederick Deuville husband of Mary Lou Splude occurred on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1947 in Saint John he was the son of the late Ivan and Audrey (Buote) Deuville. Douglas worked as a welder/pipefitter for Local 56 in Halifax. Doug was an avid hunter and fisherman and wherever he was he made someone happy. Besides his wife Mary Lou he is survived by two step-sons Michael David Splude (Keri) of Saint John and Mark Sean Splude (Jaymee) of Peterborough, Ont.; one brother Nelson (Claire) of Angus, Ont.; two sisters Marjorie MacMurray and Ardith Snodgrass both of Saint John; one step grandson Kaos Splude. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Richard Deuville. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Thursday, September 3, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, September 4, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Glen View United Church on Saturday September 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to the John T MacMillan Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
