HARVEY, SHIRLEY (1939-2009) - Shirley Harvey of Plaster Rock passed away at Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph Hospital on September 4, 2009 at the age of 70 years. Born in Canterbury, NB, on February 13, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Estella (Dickenson) Hamilton. Shirley leaves behind her husband of 49 years Judson Harvey; her daughters Patricia (Mike) Dube of Grand Falls, Pamela (Michael) Schofield of Woodstock, NB, Paula (Dean McCarty) Harvey of Odell; sisters Fay (Ralph) Wilson of Woodstock, Linda Haun of Calgary; her brother Floyd Hamilton of Brampton, ON and five grandchildren Logan, Kelsey, Connor, Caden and Cameron. Shirley taught school for 25 years. Her final years were at Donald Fraser Memorial School. She was a member of T.O.P.S. since 1971 and founded three chapters in New Brunswick. She was also a member of the Anglican Church Women's Group. Resting at Tobique Chapel in Plaster Rock with visitation on Sunday from 7-9. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 7, 2009 at 11 am from the St. George's Anglican Church in Plaster Rock. Rev. Amanda Longmoore will officiate. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Castalia, NB at a later date. For those who wish, donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
