DONNA ELIZABETH COOK

COOK, DONNA ELIZABETH - As she would have wished, surrounded by the family to whom she gave unconditional love and with the dignity befitting her true matriarchal self, Donna Elizabeth Cook (nee Tatton) passed away at high noon on Friday, September 11th, 2009 at Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB. Donna lived in Bayside, NB where she is survived by her husband Lewis Cook, whom she adored and was completely devoted to for nearly 37 years. Identifying herself first as a mother, she was predeceased by an infant daughter Cathy. She lovingly raised and guided her four surviving daughters, Karen Richardson (John) Oak Bay, NB, Bette Caissie (Mike) Minnesota, Malinda Bell (Ronald) St. Andrews, NB and Maggie Cook (Ron) Bayside, NB, from the moment of their births to the moment of her death. Donna is also survived by grandchildren; Michelle, John, Chris, Adam, Andrew, and Tobin and one great granddaughter, Kendra. Donna was born in Brockway, NB, on November 7th, 1944. She is predeceased by her parents Norman Stuart Tatton and Edith Frances Little as well as special brother in law, Wayne McCullough. Growing up in Bethel, NB she shared her family home with her 14 surviving siblings; Ruth Ellis (Norman) of St. George, NB, Joan Lee (Harold) of Maine, Evelyn Tatton of Pennfield, NB, Margaret Richard (Camille) of Elmsville, NB, Audrey McCullough of St. Andrews, NB, Ivan Tatton (Carolyn) of Bocabec, NB, Pearl Scott (Clyde) of Bayside, NB, Earl Scott (Debbie) Bethel, NB, Gerald Scott (Evangeline) of St. Stephen, NB, Guilford Scott (Ellery) of St. Stephen, NB, Peter Scott (Daphne) of Bethel, NB, Willa Jean Foster (Donne) of Chamcook, NB, Douglas Scott (Jacklyn) of St. Stephen, NB and Bonny Firlotte (Danny) of Chamcook, NB and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family are invited to share a time of remembrance Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 at 2 pm at the Oak Bay Rural Cemetery, Oak Bay, NB. There is a reception to follow at the Bayside Community Hall. Donna's wishes were for your kind donations to be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choice in her memory.
