MCADAM, LESLIE ARTHUR - The death of Leslie Arthur McAdam of Ridgewood Veteran's Hospital occurred on Thursday, September 10th, 2009. Born 1923 in Saint John he was the son of the late Stuart B. and Lilian D. (Packer) McAdam. In addition to his parents, Leslie was predeceased by his wife, Betty Rose (Lewis) McAdam and brother, Stuart Jack McAdam. Leslie was a Veteran of WWII serving in England. He worked for McLean-Kennedy Container Terminal as a Foreman for 31 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Branch # 8 and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 22. He is survived by his sons, David of Ontario and John (Diane) of Fredericton; daughter, Linda Tremblay (Norman) of Quebec; brothers, H. Roy McAdam of Grand Bay-Westfield, Douglas McAdam of USA and Ronald McAdam (Marlene) of Saint John; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and special friend, Betty Thibodeau. At Leslie's request there will be no visitations or service. The family would appreciate donations in memory of Leslie be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice.
