THOMSON, DONALD CAMPBELL- The death of Mr. Donald C. Thomson of Gondola Point occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 10, 2009. Born in Gondola Point on March 24, 1936, he was the son of the late Thomas and Annie Ellen (Wilson) Thomson and stepson of Cora Orpha (Redstone) Thomson. Donald was a lifelong resident of Gondola Point, a member of IBEW Local 1733, and a long standing member of RCL # 58. He is survived by his two aunts Jean Wilson and Gladys Wilson, nieces and nephews Gary and Mary (Taylor) Splane, Tom and Darlene (Trainor) Splane, Deborah (Splane) and Oliver Emery, Danny and Nancy (Tufts) Splane, Michael Splane and Cindy Scott, Wendy (Splane) and Ken MacLeod, several-grand nieces and grand-nephews. He is also survived by his life long friend Shirley Lemon. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Edith Grace (Thomson) Splane. By Donald's request there will be no visiting at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Rothesay Baptist Church Cemetery.
