MICHAEL BRETON

BRETON, MICHAEL - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, September 14, 2009; Michael Dennis Breton, 45, husband of Katherine (Kelly) Breton of Campobello, NB. Born in St. Stephen, NB. he is the son of Marion (Mitchell) Breton and the late Edmond Breton Jr. He was the devoted father to Gabrielle Annette and Mitchell Paul. He married Katherine Breton on September 16, 1989. Surviving in addition to his wife, Katherine, his children, Gabrielle and Mitchell, are his sister, Francine Breton McEachereon; brother- in-law, Tom McEachereon; his niece, Summer, many uncles, aunts, cousins, and devoted friends. He was especially close to his uncle, Arthur Breton and his late uncle, Grayson Mitchell. He was predeceased by his father, his paternal and maternal grandparents, several uncles and aunts and his best friends, Paul (Gilly) Getchell, Jake Donahue, and Jack Polk. He worked for many years for Herring Cove Provincial Campground as Campground Maintenance Supervisor. He spent many years in jail ministry at the Machias jail. He was very devoted to his Christian teachings and shared his work with the inmates, friends, and as a Sunday school teacher. He served on many boards and committees. By Michael's request there be a celebration of his life at a service to be held at the Congregational Church, Lubec Maine on Monday, September 21st, 2009 at 2 pm (US), 3 pm (Canadian). Interment will follow in the St. Timothy's Catholic Church Cemetery, Welshpool, Campobello, NB. Reception to follow in St. Timothy's church hall. There will be visitation prior to the funeral from 12 to 1:30 pm (US time). In lieu of flowers, Michael has made a request that donations be made to outreach programs within the communities and local churches, Campobello Boys and Girls Club, Prison ministry within the churches and to charities of the donor's choice.
