ELLIS, NORMAN KERR - March 10, 1924 - September 20, 2009 - The death of Norman Ellis of Belledune occurred Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the age of 85. Born in Belledune he was the son of the late Harold Ellis and the late Jean Miller. Norman passed away peacefully at his home in Belledune with friends Laurie and Kathy at his side. Most of Norman's life was spent doing what he truly loved "Farming". Norman worked on his father's farm in Belledune with his brother George (deceased). He owned another farm not far from the homestead where he kept and farmed sheep for many years. They also farmed potatoes and cared for their elderly parents until they died. Norman was a kind and loving man, always ready to lend a hand. He was blessed with a large family and many friends, in whose hearts he will remain alive and be a part of their lives, till they rejoin him in Heaven. Norman is survived by his brothers, Ronald (Peggy) of Bathurst, Gregory (Lois) of Ont.; sister, Cora Lindsay of Bathurst; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brothers, Raymond, Charles, Arthur, George; and sisters, Opal, Betty, Bernice, Margaret and Mary; as well as a niece, Shirley Harrity. His funeral was held at Bethel United Church, Nash Creek Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Pallbearers were Mark Ellis, Harold Jagoe, Gary Hinton, Kermit Scott, Stephen Lindsay and Terry Ellis.
