ANNE MURPHY
MURPHY, ANNE - The death of Anne Murphy in Angus, ON and formerly of Saint John, wife of the late Raymond Murphy occurred on September 29, 2009. Anne was born in Bathurst, NB on October 29,1915 and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Claire Aubie. Anne was a member of the CWL and volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Saint John. Anne was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by three brothers, Alfred, Percy and Leo Aubie; four sisters, Pauline Landry, Dora Rodgers, Edna Earle and Stella Aubie. Anne is survived by four sons, Ken Murphy (Mary) of Mississauga ON, Rod Murphy (Lillian) of Nackawic, Harold Murphy (Joan) of Moncton and Byron Murphy (Kathy) of Woodstock, NB; as well two daughters Joan Freeman (Carlos) of Saint John and Marilyn Craik (Jim) of Angus, ON; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Although there is no visiting at the funeral home, friends are welcome to attend a memorial service to be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10:00am from Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. A reception will be held following the burial at Brenan's Reception Center. For those who wish, remembrance to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
