BERNARD LEE FROZEL

FROZEL, BERNARD LEE- The death of Bernard Lee Frozel, loving husband of Josephine (Cameron) Frozel, of Ridgewood Veteran's Wing, occurred on Thursday October 8, 2009 at his residence. Born 1923 in Fairvale, NB he was the son of the late Charles and Lillie Bell (Bennett) Frozel. Bernard was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army for 3 ½ years, he worked as a Longshoreman for 42 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 53 and the Lions Seniors Club. Bernard was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his loving wife Josephine of 65 years, he is survived by his daughters Ann Foster (Douglas) of Rothesay and Catherine Marie (Kay) Carson of Quispamsis; grandchildren, Stephen Foster (Sherry), James Foster (Teena), Michael Foster, Tim Carson (Michelle), Carolyn Thomas (Brent) and Theresa Kelly (Charles); 11 great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Charles John Frozel in 2003; brothers Rufus and Arthur; sisters Kathleen Mahar, Georgina Russeff, Annie Gould, Rita Noftell, Nora Frozel and Jennie Porter. Following cremation visitations will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Sunday October 11, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Legion Tribute to a Veteran will be held Sunday evening at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday October 12, 2009 at 10 a.m. A private family interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
