ANNE ISABEL LOMAX
LOMAX, ANNE ISABEL - January 28, 1923 - October 10, 2009 - Anne passed into eternity, on October 10, 2009 after a 2 month stay in Palliative care at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, but we glory in knowing she is now with her Lord and Saviour in heaven. Anne was born in Lepreau, the daughter of the late Otis and Susan (Donner) Cogswell. Over the years, Anne raised seven children, and worked at the orphanage, and owned and operated "Anne's Lunch" in Saint John West, and the Clam Factory in Little Lepreau. She loved to cook, and there was an open door in her home for everyone she met. She was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church. Anne is predeceased by Hazen "Junior" Lomax, her loving husband of 60 years. She is survived by her four sons, Roger (Dora) Lomax, Steven (Lois) Lomax, Calvin (Sherry) Lomax, Kevin (Joy) Lomax; three daughters, Linda Wilson, Susan (Raymond) Henry, Dora-June (Johnny) Belliveau; four sisters, Susanna (John) Graham, Ada (LaFay) Lawson, Catherine Campbell, and Margaret Quinn. She was also predeceased by one sister, Leota Dean, and three brothers, George, Charlie, and Harry Cogswell. "Nanny Annie" was a loving grandmother to her 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Castle Funeral Home, Fallsview Chapel 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 7 to 9 pm and visitation on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Bethany Independent Baptist Church in Little Lepreau from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2009 from Bethany Independent Baptist Church at 1 o'clock followed by a reception. Interment will take place in Little Lepreau Cemetery.
