CROWE, EDNA MAY - passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 14, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born 1925 in Sydney Mines, NS she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine (Herron) McAulay. Edna was predeceased by her husband Ronald Crowe, her parents and several brothers and sisters. Edna worked as a Switch Board Operator for the Saint John General Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was a lifetime member and Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 53. Edna had many good times with her friends especially Ellen and Bob Pearson. She is survived by her nine children Art (Lena), Pat Vautour (Ron), Gloria Perrin, Cheryl Defazio (Ken), Cathy Doucette (Beaver), Doreen Cross (Bob Storey), Dorothy LeBlanc (Al), Lynn Cook (Red) and Robert (Connie); 21 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother Ron McAulay (Pat) of St. Catherine's, ON; sister Irma Confient of St. Catherine's, ON; many nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Legion Tribute will be held at the funeral home Friday evening at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday October 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
