HALL, HELEN MARIE - Peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on October 16, 2009, Mrs. Helen Marie (MacLaren) Hall, wife of Mr. Robert J. Hall of Pennfield NB. Born at St. Andrews NB on December 6, 1940, she was a daughter of Sarah (Beckerton) MacLaren of Petit- codiac NB and the late Frederick P. MacLaren. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband Robert, she is survived by one son; Bishop Burnham "Burnie" and Leasa Hall of Groton CT, three grandchildren; Robert and Jasmin Hall of Hudson NH, Sarah Hall and her husband Neal Rubenstein of New York NY and Justin M.F. Hall of Groton CT, her mother, Sarah MacLaren of Petitcodiac NB, one sister, Ethel and Roy Bannister of Kingsclear NB, one brother, Frederick and Ronah MacLaren of Petitcodiac NB, brother in law, Alonzo and Alice Hall of St. George NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by one brother, Preston MacLaren. Prior to her retirement, Helen was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse who worked at Fundy Hospital at Blacks Harbour NB. She was an avid musician who enjoyed to play the piano and sing and was an outstanding telecommunicater. When Helen had a moment to herself, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting or reading a good book. Helen was the president of the Charlotte County Chapter of the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB from where the service will be held on Sunday from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at 2:30 pm with Rev. Reg Ferris officiating followed by interment at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home on Saturday from 6-9 pm. In Helen's memory, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. (www.stgeorgefh.ca)
