HAZEN BELL
BELL, HAZEN - Hazen was born to Richard Bell and Bessie Blanche (Parlee) Bell in Sussex on September 11, 1919. He was an employee of the Saint John Drydock for over 43 years, as well as a World War II Veteran. Hazen is survived by several nieces and nephews: Wayne Bell (Chris) of Penobsquis, Bryant Bell (Darlene) of Berwick, Randy Bell (Faith) of Newline, Bobby Bell of Toronto, Dorothy Fitzgerald (Robert) of Amherst, Raymond Meehan (Jeannine) of Windsor, NS, Gary Meehan (Gail) of Amherst, Bill Meehan (Paula) of Amherst, Holly Meehan of Fall River, NS, Margo Gould (Peter) of Amherst; his special cousin, Mildred Colwell of Saint John and the extended family of: Art and Sandy Boudreau of Grand Bay, Jay Boudreau of Red Head and Jenn Boudreau Allen of Winnipeg; his family at Ridgewood, as well as many cousins. Hazen was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by two brothers: Irvine and Stanley; his sister, Hazel Meehan and his niece, Ellen Meehan. Mr. Hazen William Richard Bell of Ridgewood Veterans Hospital Saint John passed away at the Ridgewood Veterans Wing on October 18, 2009 at the age of 90. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Celebration Hazen's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 11:00 am with Rev. John Martin officiating.
