GREEN, NATHAN L. - Nathan Lionel Green of Saint John, husband of Barbara Ruth (Dryer) Green, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born at Saint John on October 12, 1921, and owned and operated Green's Restaurant and Green's Catering from 1958-1988, and was also President of Green-Lee Shoes. In addition to his wife, Nathan is survived by his son, Steven Green (Bonnie) of Saint John; his daughter, Diane Green-Wanderer (Erwin) of Halifax; a sister, Eleanor (Citren) Romer; grandchildren Jason (Tonya and her son Lee) of Saint John, Lori of Saint John, Adam of Montreal, Sarah (Ian) Wanderer-Bezanson of Halifax; and a great grandson, Lex. The funeral service was held on Monday at 3:00 pm from Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Interment took place in Shaarei Zedek Cemetery.
