LINDA M. POLLOCK
POLLOCK, LINDA M. - It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Linda Mary (Naves) Pollock of Saint John on Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Devoted wife of 35 years to Paul Jobes. Born 1944 the daughter of Elizabeth (Doucette) Naves of Saint John and the late Arthur George Naves. Devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Linda was a volunteer and helped at Glen Falls United Church and enjoyed her time organizing card parties at St. Ann's Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling with the girls, soft ball games and especially playing Bingo at the racetrack and spending time with family and friends. Linda was kind, giving and devoted herself to others; always lending a helping hand and giving of herself. Besides her husband Paul, Linda leaves behind her son, John Pollock (Barb) of Calgary, AB; daughters, Tina Thorne (Troy) of Saint John, Nancy Richards (Kyle) of Oromocto and Brenda Kerik (Mike) of Chilliwack, BC; ten brothers and sisters, Sr. Anita Naves, Jimmy Naves (Linda), Audrey Legere (Murray), Marilyn McRae (Gerald), Dian Wilson (Charlie), Gary Naves (Kate), Cathy Legere (Gerry), Deborah Allen (Bill), Kevin Naves (Sherry) and George Naves (Doreen); nine grandchildren and five precious great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and many many friends. Besides her father, Linda was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Gerry Legere. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmoreland Rd. (646-2424) with visitations on Monday, October 26 from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 28th, 2009 at 10:00 am from Stella Maris Church, 20 Bayside Drive. Reception to follow in the Church basement. Private family interment to take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Linda may be made to the Neonatal Unit at the SJRH or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
