
REV. ALVIN DEE
DEE, REV. ALVIN - At the Grand Falls General Hospital, October 28, 2009, Rev. Alvin Dee of Limestone Siding passed away unexpectedly at the age of 71. He was the loving husband of Linda Dee (née MacLeod). Born at Cliffordvale, NB, in 1938, he was the son of the late Roy Nicholas and Sadie (Moran) Dee. Alvin loved life and time spent with his family. In his early life he worked on bridges and for United Farmers Store. Most of his adult life was spent working for CP Rail. Alvin was a member of Emmanuel Fellowship Inc. since 1977. Became a board member in 1978 and was President for a number of years until 2007. He also pastored the Limestone Siding Pentecostal Church for 25 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Roy (Robin) of Limestone Siding, four daughters, Brenda, Barbara (Donald Moran) of Limestone Siding, Beatrice (Leslie Miller) of Brockton, MA., and Lorie-Ann (Shawn Tracey) of Four Falls, 12 grandchildren, four sisters, Mary Pelkey of Arthurette, Audrey Hammond of Perth-Andover, Violet Steeves (Joseph) of Plaster Rock and Lois White (Joseph) of Virginia, Wilhelmina (Leo) McNally of Moncton and Walter Jr. (Alice) of Limestone Siding, brothers-in-law, Les Caldwell of Massachusetts and Philip Kinney of California Settlement, two sisters-in-law, Bonita Dee of Limestone Siding and Gwendolyn Dee of Perth Manor, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Burton, Walter Sr, Nicholas and Herman, four sisters, Betty, Donna, Pauline and Amy. Resting at Amazing Grace Church, Limestone Siding with visiting hours Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 2-4 p.m. His funeral service will be held Saturday, October 31st at 4 p.m. from the church, with Dr. Jeffrey Bell officiating. Donations to the Mountain View Cemetery or the Mission in Indonesia would be appreciated by the family. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements are by O'Regan's Funeral Home, Grand Falls.
