SANDS, CECILIA MARGUERITE (HOURIHAN) - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Cecilia Marguerite Sands, age 66 of Norton, NB at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 28, 2009. She was born in Passekeag, NB on March 26, 1943 to the late Augustine and Marie (Kennedy) Hourihan. Cecilia lived and worked in Brampton, ON most of her life, moving back to Norton, NB after their retirement to be near her family and roots. Survived by her cherished and much loved partner Alfred H. Cox. Also survived by three sisters, Mary Walton of Passekeag, Gertrude Sands of Bloomfield, Theresa Tayes of Saint John; two brothers, Joseph Hourihan and Frank Hourihan both of Bloomfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, John Hourihan and William Hourihan. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton with visitation Sunday from 3pm- 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 10:00am, at Sacred Heart Church, Norton. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
