LOUISE VICTORIA (FINLAY) FOWLER

FOWLER, LOUISE VICTORIA (FINLAY) - In her ninety-ninth year, Louise, the last surviving member of her immediate family, passed away on October 30, 2009 at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre. She was predeceased by her husband, George, in 1983. The youngest of the eight children born to Charles & Elizabeth (Moore) Finlay, she was predeceased by her five sisters (Edith Anderson, Margaret Thompson, Ann Longon, Hazel Hubley, Greta Saunders, and two brothers (Ralph and Harry). Louise was a life long resident of the Saint John and Hampton area. She had an apartment at the Dr. Snow Centre for many years and moved to the nursing unit January 2008. She enjoyed many years of good health, travel, and in their retirement years spent summers in her beloved Black River, St. Martins, and the cottage at Duck Pond on the beautiful Bay of Fundy. There are those who treasure their memories of her - nephew, Doug Finlay (Barbara), the Earle girls - Marjorie Ingersoll (Dale) and Carol Anderson (Dave), Theresa Beckwith, along with several nieces, nephews, and her many friends at the Dr. VA Snow Centre. In respect of her wishes, there will be no visiting or funeral service. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the Hampton Rural Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Reid's Funeral Home, 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, (506) 832-5541. Those wishing to honour Louise through a memorial may do so to an organization of their choosing.
