COSTELLO, AUGUSTINE "GUS" PATRICK - Gus Costello of Baxters Corner, life partner for 29 years of Jean Porter, passed away peacefully at home on November 12, 2009. Born 1937 on Prince Edward Island to the late Michael and Theresa (Murray) Costello. Gus was a Route Delivery Driver and worked for the Telegraph Journal for several years retiring in 2002. He was in the Canadian Navy serving from 1956 to 1964. Gus was an avid outdoorsman enjoying his time hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with family and friends especially the family BBQ's and was a devoted partner, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Besides his partner Jean; Gus is survived by his son Michael (Shari Bleakney) of Saint John; two daughters Darlene Mullins (Bill McKnight) of Kingston Peninsula and Connie Munn of Saint John; two sisters Roma Ritchie (Winston) of Upper Golden Grove and Ausline Calvin of Chance Harbour; eight grandchildren and two great grandsons; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Leo and Lawrence Costello and his sister Hazel Henry. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. with visitations on Saturday November 14th from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday November 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment to take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
