DURDAN, JAMES EDWARD "ED" - The death of Mr. James Edward Durdan, husband of Marion (Flowers) Durdan occurred on November 11, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital, with his wife and daughter, Tina by his side. Born on September 5, 1921 in Fairville, N.B., he was the son of the late Perley and Myrtle (Burgess) Durdan. Ed was employed for 26 years at Bathurst Consolidated and then retired after 17 years with Industrial Security at the Golden Ball. He enjoyed hunting and working on cars. Beside his wife, he is survived by his children, Dot Keleher (Tom Love), Danny Durdan, Tina Durdan (Rheal Dugas) and Ed Durdan (Joy); sister, Edna Hayward; 7 grand- children, Tommy Keleher (Cheryl Sweet), David Keleher, Teesha Keleher (Tom Laskey), Ryan Durdan, Josh Dugas, Shayne Dugas and Jacob Durdan; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Patrick Durdan and sister, Agnes Sainders. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701). Visiting on Saturday, November 14, 2009 and Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9pm. The Funeral service will take place on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from Castle "Fallsview" Chapel. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Fallsview Family Reception Center. Donations in memory of Ed to the Saint John Animal Rescue League would be appreciated by his family.
