GERALD ALLAN BOYLE
BOYLE, GERALD ALLAN - Gerald passed away peacefully at the St John/St. Stephen Nursing Home on November 22, 2009, after a long illness. Born in Rusagonis on July 25, 1921, he was the son of the late Florence and Allan Boyle. Gerald is survived by his wife Edna Boyle, his daughter, Mildred Mercuri (Joe), grandchildren Andrew Mercuri (Dawn), Rob Boyle (Coralie), and Michael Boyle (Jennifer) and great-grandchildren Kristen, John, and James (Andrew), Thomas and Madelyn (Rob), and Kathryn and Rachael (Mike) and daughter-in-law Sharon. Gerald is also survived by sisters Madeline McIsaac (Harold), Lois McIsaac (William), Norma Banks (Arnold), Myrna Noble (Gilmore), Beatrice Boyle, Miriam Glenn (William), and Marina McLaughlin (Howard), his sister-in-law Maudie Boyle, and his brothers-in-law Gilmore Noble and Howard McLaughlin. Gerald was predeceased by his parents Florence and Allan Boyle, his son Lowell Boyle (Sharon), sister Jennie Charters (Glenn), brother Allison Boyle (Maudie), and brothers-in-law Harold McIsaac, William McIsaac, Glenn Charters, Arnold Banks, and William Glenn. Gerald's large, extended family, his church family, and wonderful circle of friends will also miss him dearly. Gerald enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with the CPR working on numerous carpentry projects. In addition he enjoyed being active as a long time member of the Lancaster Baptist Church, serving on the Board Management of the Church, as well as being involved with numerous church activities and groups within the Church. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West (634-1701) with visitation to be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11 am from Lancaster Baptist Church. Interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
