ROY, JEANNE D'ARC - It is with great sadness the family announce the sudden passing of Jeanne D'arc Roy on December 2, 2009, widow of the late Hector Joseph Roy at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born 1930 in Saint- Quentin, NB to the late Cyprien and Amalea (Desjardins) Migneault. Devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Jeanne was a member of St. Rose Parish; in earlier years she was a hairdresser and enjoyed gardening. Jeanne was gentle and kindhearted and was devoted to her family; and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are sons Michael (Laura) of Saint John, Jacques (Lori) of Fredericton and Luc (Angela) of Saint John; daughters Sylvie Gagne (Marc) of Saint John and Denise (Terry) of Grand Bay-Westfield and Patsy Greenway (Barry) of Rothesay; brothers Charles and Robert (Therese) both of Montreal, QC; sister Germaine (Florean) of Saint-Quentin; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides her parents and husband Hector, Jeanne was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Saint Rose of Lima Church, 541 Milford Rd. West Saint John on Saturday, December 5th 2009 at 10:00 am. Reception to follow at the Denis Morris Community Center. Private family interment to take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date.
