DOUCET, PAUL ARTHUR - Paul Arthur Doucet of Saint John passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on December 3rd 2009 at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. Paul was born 1960 in Bathurst. He was a wood worker and craftsman. Despite some of his disabilities and recent struggles he always made the best of things. A devoted son, brother, companion, uncle, nephew and friend. In so many ways Paul was so special to his family. No matter where he was, he always made friends easily and was always concerned about others. His courage and strength was admired by all who knew him. Paul is survived by his mother and step-father Geraldine (Pitre) and Donat Duguay of Saint John; two sisters Monique Doucet (Mike) and Carole Doucet both of Saint John; two nieces Melissa Bonner and Jessica Doucet; two great-nieces Desiree Bonner and Zoey Daley; special companion Anita; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Paul was predeceased by his father Aurele Doucet and his maternal grandparents Rudolf and Gladys Pitre. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitation on Sunday December 6th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday December 7th at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.
