SCOTT, JAMES WILLIAM - James W. Scott of Newmarket, NB passed away December 8, 2009 at his home. James was born in Saint John, NB, a son of the late James and Margaret Anne (Monihan) Scott. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an active members of St. Anne's Parish. James was one of the founding members of York-Sunbury Ground Search and Rescue and a former director of the Conservation Council. He was a proud member and supporter of the New Democratic Party. He is survived by his wife, Catherine A. (McNeil) Scott; his children, Mary Scott (Kevin Stafford), Smithfield, NB, Margaret Scott, Marysville, NB and James Scott (Jennifer Taylor), Dartmouth, NS; his grandchildren, Justine, Danielle, Bethany, Emily, Lauren and Thomas and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station on Friday from 7 to 9 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 415 Highway 3, Newmarket on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 10 am by Rev. David Martin.
