HOWE, WILLIAM J. - The death of William J. Howe, loving husband of Jessie E. Howe occurred at Loch Lomond Villa on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Born in Saint John on August 5th, 1926 he was the son of the late William Robert Howe. William was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved children, was a good worker and never took time off work. He was an Industrial Mechanic or Millwright, a jack off all trades. There never was a motor or engine he couldn't repair. His hobbies included woodworking and he loved making toys for his children. Dad had a wonderful sense of humor even with Alzheimer's, such a terrible affliction, robs you of everything. Besides his wife Jessie he is survived by one son J. Gregory (Samantha) Howe of Passekeag, NB and daughter Lynn E. (Robert) Paulin of Saint John; four grandchildren Margaret and Heather Paulin and Melissa and Emily Howe; one great grandson Dawson Teed; sisters Winnifred Rogers, Dorothy Buchenel, Jean LeBreton and Sandra Gommer; brothers Ronald, Fred and Wayne (Dorothy). Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 2 pm. Interment will be held in Fernhill Cemetery in the spring.
