SMITH, SHAWN GORDON - The death of Gordie Smith occurred unexpectedly in Winnipeg December 17th, 2009 at age 48. He was born on May 8th, 1961 in Saint John, New Brunswick. He was the son of Richard and the late Kathleen Smith. He was a chef by trade and worked in many fine establishments throughout Canada. He was known to be very artistic. He was also very passionate about fishing and spending time outdoors. He is survived by his children Kaylea, Jacob in Winnipeg and Daniel, Sarah, and Matthew in Saint John. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Brian (Della), Richard, Geraldine, Charlotte, and Ruth. He will be greatly missed by those who were close to him.
