(BRUN) JOHN LAWRENCE BRIEN

BRIEN, (BRUN) JOHN LAWRENCE - The death of Mr. John L. Brien (Brun) of Bradley Lake, husband of Margaret M. (Maillet) Brien. Born in Shemoque on February 16, 1919, he was the son of the late Lawrence I. and Ada Marie (Ouellette) Brun. He was a contractor / carpenter by trade, and owned and operated Brien Construction. He is survived by his wife Margaret, sons Norman (Bonnie) Brien of Rothesay, and Donald (Carol) Brien of Saint John, Jean (Daniel) Morand of Grand Digue, sister Sarah Owens of Fredericton, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, as well as his good buddy Bert Foster. Mr. Brien was predeceased by his parents, daughter Dianne Taylor, brothers Abel, Lawrence, and Charles, sisters Matilda, Sophie, Alida, and Dena. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701) with visiting on Monday, December 28, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 12 noon from Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will take place at the Assumption Centre following the interment. The Knights of Columbus 6770 4th Degree Assembly 1940 will hold a tribute service at Fallsview on Monday at 7:00 pm.
