HOBBS, KENNETH - The death of Kenneth Alvin Hobbs occurred on Monday December 28, 2009 at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1941 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Howard and Clara (Day) Hobbs. Ken worked 39 years as a Steel Plater for the Saint John Shipbuilding retiring in 2000. Ken loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Donna; one daughter Susan Hobbs of Edmonton, AB; cherished grampy to Candice and Katie and great-grand- children Kayden Kenneth, Bryona May and Bianca Jean; brothers Ralph (Ann) Hobbs and Vernon (Barbara) Hobbs both of Saint John; one sister Grace (John) Coyle of Saint John; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Norman, Howard and David Hobbs. By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family graveside service will be held in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Ken may be made to the charity of one's choice.
