GREEN, MARJORIE V. - Mrs. Marjorie V. Green formally of Seal Cove Grand Manan Island passed away at her residence on Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Born on Wood Island March 15, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Alton and Gladys (Griffin) Green. Marjorie was a faithful member of the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church and worked for Connors Bros. in both Blacks Harbour and Seal Cove for many years. She is survived by one son Darryl (Alyssa) Calder of Grand Harbour. Two brothers; Devern (Jean) Green, and Judson (Leona) Green both of Seal Cove. One aunt; Helena Leavitt of St. Stephen, her grand daughter Shelby Calder of Grand Harbour, also several special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Merlin in 2006, and also her sister Jessie Calder. Visiting will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church. The funeral service will take place from the church on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Ward McComiskey officiating. Interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery. Marjorie's family has requested donations may be made to the Charlotte County Cancer or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
