DOUCETTE, ROMEO JOSEPH (JOE) - The death of Romeo Joseph (Joe) Doucette, loving husband of Marjorie (Boyle) Doucette, occurred unexpectedly at his home in Long Reach, on Monday, December 28, 2009. Born 1954 in Bathurst, NB he was the son of the late Ernest and Armance (Lavoie) Doucette. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his stepmother Shirley Doucette; sister Florence and brother Robert. In addition to his loving wife Marjorie he is survived by his step son Jason Doucette (Bonnie) of Red Head; step daughter Dawn Marie Thomas (Richard) of Saint John; sisters Annette McGarity (Walter McLaughlin) of Saint John, Yvonne Duplessis of Bathurst, Elizabeth Bastarache (Ronald) of Saint John, Alice Jean (Pierre) of Bathurst, Linda Baker (Danny) of Halifax and Germaine Horth (Raymond) of Niagara Falls, ON; step brothers David Melanson of Quispamsis and Paul Melanson (Cheryl) of Nerepis; five grandchildren Stephen, Abagail, Mackenzie, Avery and Brycen; several nieces and nephews; also sadly missed by his foster family the Lanteignes. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday, January 1, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter's Catholic Church on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11 am. Following cremation, interment will take place at a later date.
