FARRIS, GARDA - At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB, Garda June (Fanjoy) Farris of Cambridge-Narrows, NB, with loved ones by her bedside peacefully slipped the bonds of this earth and entered the Gates of Heaven evermore to be with her Lord on January 1st, 2010. Born at Waterborough, N.B, on June 29, 1921, Garda was the daughter of the late Ottie and the late Janie (Thompson) Fanjoy. Garda was predeceased also by her husband of 54 years, Ronald Malcolm Farris; sisters Mrs. Muriel/Mid (Gilbert) Worden, Mrs. Leta (Budd) Moore, infant sister Louise; brothers Abel, Frank, Garfield, Lawrence, Norman, Garnet and Ronald Fanjoy as well as, sisters-in-law Mrs. Muriel (Lawrence) Fanjoy, and Mrs. Marcel (Norman) Fanjoy. Garda is survived by her sisters Mrs. Marjorie (Jack) Perry, Cambridge-Narrows and Mrs. Marie (Lawrence) Demerchant, Bristol NB; sisters-in-law Mrs. Joan (Garnet) Fanjoy, Jemseg, NB, Mrs. Evelyn (Ronald) Fanjoy, Jemseg, NB, Mrs. Deloris (Garfield) Fanjoy, Ont., Mrs. Margaret (Abel) Fanjoy, Ont. and Mrs. Edith (William) Stephenson, Cambridge-Narrows, NB. Garda also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as several cousins. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood's Funeral Home, and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2010 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Garda's Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 2 pm. in the Chapel at Sherwood's. A private family burial will take place at a time to be announced in the spring.
