MCDOWELL, KEITH ALAN - At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on January 6, 2010, Mr. Keith Alan McDowell, husband of Mrs. Clara R. (Norman) McDowell of Pennfield, NB. Born at Pennfield on August 2, 1935, he was a son of the late Norman and Helena (Justason) McDowell. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Clara, he is survived by one son, Wayne (Sally) McDowell of Pennfield, two daughters; Peggy (Bill) Justason of Pennfield and Linda (Odule) Breau of Dieppe, NB, six grandchildren; Joni (Steven) Stryde of Fort McMurray, AB, Mark (Linda) Henry of Dartmouth, NS, Gregory (Megan) Justason of St. George, NB, Kenny McDowell of Toronto ON, Lisa Justason of Pennfield and Jillian (Josh) Walton of Moncton NB, three great grandchildren; Evan, Sarah, and Cole, one sister; Clara Johnson of Holland MI and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Bruce McDowell and by one son in law, Richard Whalen. Prior to his retirement, Keith was employed by JD Irving Woodlands Division for many years. He was a member and Deacon of the Pennfield Baptist Church for more the 20 years. Keith was a family man who cherished spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed to spend time at his camp and meeting with his friends at Tim's. Resting at the Pennfield Baptist Church, Pennfield NB from where the service will be held on Saturday at 2 pm with Rev. Grant Alcorn officiating. The interment will be held at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the Spring. Visiting at the church will take place on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In Keith's memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
