THOMAS, ELIZABETH (BETTY) GLADYS EVELYN - The death of Elizabeth (Betty) Gladys Evelyn Thomas, age 94, of Kars, NB, occurred at Sussex Health Centre, on Monday, January 11, 2010. She was born on March 15, 1915, the daughter of the late James and Maryann (Williams) Thomas. Betty is survived by one sister Doris and Eldred Beers of Wickham, NB; nieces and nephews Malcolm Thomas, Linda Parker, Marguerite Thomas, Gary Thomas, Lois Beers-Gillespie, Joy Hobbs, Donnie Beers, Lorna Robins, Janet Ross and Glendon Thomas; several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Gordon, Norman, Albert, Sydney, Leslie and Clifford; nieces Joan (Beers) Kinnear and Jean (Thomas) Knox. The family will receive visitors at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm. A celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held from Sherwood's Chapel at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 14, 2010. Interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery at a later date.
