MONAHAN, WILLIAM "BILL" - Mr. William "Bill" Monahan of Aiton Road, Sussex passed away on January 14, 2010 in his 95th year. He was the son of the late Ambrose and Catherine (Durham) Monahan. Bill was predeceased by his wife Roberta (McLong) Monahan and by his second wife Grace (Carten) Monahan. He is survived by his son, Murray (Anita) of Sussex, his brother, Raymond (Betty) of Sussex, his sister, Peggy Brown (George) of Apohaqui; three grandchildren: Donald and (Anick), Allen (Tina), and Sean; four great grand children; Jonathan, Megane, Emerson and Marley; his special God child Joan Brown, "His" girl Gladys (Pollock) Keith, as well as several nieces and nephews. Bill was also predeceased by two brothers, Leonard and Ambrose and four sisters: Irene Monahan, Catherine Cummings, Nellie Hourihan and Grace Mercer. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 10:00 am.
