WHITTAKER, GLENNA - The death of Glenna Colleen Whittaker occurred peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home, where she has been lovingly cared for, for the last five years. Born 1930 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late William and Minnie Victoria (MacKinnon) Ring. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her 1st husband John Skov-Nielsen, 2nd husband Clifford Arthur Whittaker; brother Jim Ring and sister Lois Trickey. Glenna worked as a seamstress and homemaker. She is survived by her loving children Kurt Skov-Nielsen (Elaine) of Quispamsis, David Skov- Nielsen of Denmark, Catherine Sword (Stephen) of Stouffville, ON and Bill Whittaker of Saint John; six grandchildren Krista (Derrick), Hilary (Korey), John, Emily, Cora and Kikki; three great grandchildren Zoe, Elliot and Avery; sister Patsy Hanson of Saint John; several nieces and nephews. Following cremation visitations will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Tuesday, January 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 10 am. A private family interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
