KIRK, JOHN - The death of John Kirk occurred in Fort Myers, Florida after a long battle with cancer. Born in Saint John on April 22, 1948 he was the eldest son of the late John (Jack) Francis Kirk and Claire (Ting) Flood Kirk. For many years John worked in Halifax before setting up a business in Florida where he reveled in the sun and sea. He is survived by his siblings Kathryn (Bill) McCarroll, Christopher (Robin), Claire Barnett (Alan), Colin and Margot Young (David Duncan). Cremation has occurred and a private family memorial will be held. The family is grateful to the sensitive Hospice care John received and would appreciate donations to any local Palliative Care facility.
