POTHIER, ISABEL FRANCES (CARTEN) - Passed away at the Church of St. John St. Stephen Nursing Home on Tuesday, February 02, 2010. Born on October 30, 1923 in Cedar Camp, NB. She was the daughter of the late Timothy and Maud (Gordon) Carten. Loving wife of the late Ulysse O Pothier. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Anita Monahan, and her husband, Murray, of Sussex, Donalda "Dawn" Galbraith, and her husband Shayne, of Saint John and Teresa Gray, and her husband Charlie, of Saint John; six grandchildren, Donald (Anick Martin), Allen (Tina) and Sean Monahan, Ryan (Stacey Hawkins) and Laura Galbraith and Chris Gray; four great grandchildren, Jonathan, Megane, Emerson and Marley; sister, Elizabeth Connelly, of England; sister-in-laws, Sylvia Carten, of Sussex and Ivy Carten, of Urney, NB and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Warren, Michael, Russell, Joseph (Jean) and Irvine and sisters, Bertha McShane, Grace (William) Monahan, Mary Carten and Annie Carten. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Thursday, February 04, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 05, 2010 at 12:00 pm from Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
