Mary Magdalen Tobin

Passed peacefully away on Thursday, July 31, 2008 in the presence of her loving family at the Agnes Pratt Home, Magdalen Tobin (nee O'Neill) of Trepassey, age 85 years. Predeceased by her husband Jerry (1985); sons-in-law: Gerald Hayward (1997) and Bernard Picco (1998); her brother Robert O'Neill (2005). Leaving to mourn 9 daughters and 3 sons: Geraldine Picco (Bernard, deceased), Linda Hayward (Gerald, deceased) and Vince, Yvonne Cheater (Colin), Sharon, Ray (Cathy), Rhoda, Valerie Wilson (Nick), Barry (Cheryl), Paula and grandson Jordan (with whom she resided), Jerry (Glenda), Goldie Perry (Simon), and Connie; 3 sisters: Mary Hynes of Ferryland, Gertrude Curtis and Catherine Pennell of Trepassey; 4 brothers: Kevin (Theresa) and William (Alice) of Trepassey, John of Fermeuse, Thomas (Sonny) of St. John's; sisters-in-law: Theresa Evans, Irene Waddleton, Eileen Tobin; 21 grandchildren: Craig Picco, Chad Picco (Joanna) and Crista Picco (Andrew), Clint Hayward (Ruby), Julie Hayward (Melvin) and Karla Hayward (Shane), Tina Power (Rick), Kris Power (Kendra) and their father Don, Lori and Jason Fitzgerald and their father Dennis, Shilo Tobin, A.J. Lopes and his father Albert, Janine Tobin (Colin), Renee Tobin, Jerry Tobin and their mom Pauline, Kayla Tobin, Mallory Wilson, Crystal Tobin, Ryan Tobin, Tyler and Joshua Tobin (and their father Gerry); 12 great-grandchildren: Mackenzie and Meagan, Brandon and Cameron, Matthew, Mackenzie, Ireland and Regan, Sky and Gage, Nicholas and new baby Alexis; also a large circle of family and friends. Remains resting at Fahey's Funeral Home Trepassey from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2008 and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2008. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Redeemer Church, Trepassey.
