At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, of Lloyd James Lawless of 399 Maple Ave., Summerside, aged 73 years. Husband of Marina (Doyle) Lawless. Born in Norboro on Jan. 14, 1936, Lloyd was a son of the late James Lawless and Hazel (Callaghan) Lawless. Father of Lori (Paul) MacKinnon of Russell, Ont., Jeff of Charlottetown and Erin (Joe) Morissette of Ottawa, Ont. He is survived by his beloved grandchildren, Ben and Annie MacKinnon, and by his sisters, Miriam Morris (late Jim) of Summerside, Norma McIver (late Arnold) of Summerside, and a brother, Frank Lawless (Celia) of Peterborough, Ont., and by a stepmother, Beryl Lawless, and her family. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Doug Currie. Lloyd will be remembered for his love of his families, golf, curling and politics. Remains have been forwarded from the Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora, to the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. Visiting hours at the Moase Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, Feb. 18, at St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be later at St. Paul’s Church Cemetery, Summerside. Donations in Lloyd’s memory may be made to the Prince County Hospital Foundation.
