Leona J. Pierce Leona J. Pierce, 91, wife of the late George W. Pierce of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday , December 18, 2001. Born in Amherst, NS, Leona was the daughter of the late Edmond and Marie (Bourque) Gould. Leona was a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church and Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Charter Member of the Moncton Lionettes and the Catholic Women's League. Leona will be sadly missed by her daughter, June McGaghey (Don), Moncton; son, Douglas Pierce (Hubeerte), Moncton; ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Wood, Moncton; daughter-in-law; Ruth Pierce; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband George (1980); son Robert (1989); granddaughter, Donna Lynn (Pierce) Green (1986); sisters Mabel LeBlanc, Edith Gould; brothers, Father Alderic, Rudy, Eric, Edward Gould. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, Wednesday 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers, Wednesday evening 8:30pm.
